Tricia Robbins Kasson Endorses Jesse Gabriel for AD-45
ENCINO, CA -- Today, Constitutional Rights Attorney Jesse Gabriel released a key endorsement from Tricia Robbins Kasson, his top Democratic competitor for the 45th Assembly District.
Robbins Kasson received the second most Democratic votes in the April 3rd special election primary, finishing third overall after Gabriel and his Republican opponent. While Robbins Kasson's name will appear on the June 5th ballot for the general election primary, she has formally ended her campaign and endorsed Gabriel.
In a statement released following the announced endorsement, Robbins Kasson stated:
“I will be voting for Jesse Gabriel for Assembly in June. As Economic Development Director for Los Angeles City Councilmember Bob Blumenfield, I look forward to working with Jesse to improve the quality of life for all Valley residents and businesses.”
Gabriel recently finished first in a crowded field in the special election primary contest for the 45th Assembly District. Gabriel, who has been endorsed by the California Democratic Party, now faces a Republican candidate in the June 5th general special election.
Jesse Gabriel is a Los Angeles County Commissioner and Constitutional Rights Attorney who has represented clients before the United States Supreme Court. He is currently suing the Trump Administration in two landmark lawsuits which seek to protect undocumented children known as Dreamers. Through his legal work and legislative advocacy, Jesse has assisted Holocaust survivors, victims of domestic abuse, and communities facing the threat of hate-motivated violence. Jesse has also helped to resolve complex business disputes through his work with a major law firm. Prior to beginning his law practice, Jesse worked to advance the Democratic Party agenda in the United States Senate, where he served as a senior advisor to former United States Senator Evan Bayh.
A committed environmentalist and longtime community activist, Jesse also serves on the board of directors of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters and the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, and as a Commissioner on the Los Angeles County Commission on Local Government Services.
Jesse lives in Encino with his wife Rachel Rosner, an affordable housing attorney, and their sons Ethan and Joshua. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and UC Berkeley.
